Your Guide: Sarina Behar Natkin

Sarina believes dance can meet every body where it is, providing not only fantastic exercise, but also a path to present-moment awareness. By stepping out of the thinking brain and into the body, we open ourselves to greater joy.

In her spare time, Sarina is a licensed clinical social worker, parent coach, and speaker. She is a Seattle native and resides with her husband, two amazing teen daughters, and dog Molly.

  • The dance classes at Sol are just what my body and soul need — eclectic, feel-good music (from Paul Simon and Franti to Madonna and Doja Cat) and an accepting, warm group of dancers at every level. When I have to miss a class, I feel its absence — it really is a full-body, feel good experience that helps me bring joyful movement and awareness to my life!

  • Sol Dance Fitness is much more than an exercise class. It is a diverse community of friends that come together for an hour of pure joy and escape from the responsibilities of the day. The music and choreography are a great mix of variations on familiar rhythms and movements that can be modified for personal fitness and preference levels.

  • If you’re looking for a judgment-free dance fitness class where you can up-level your mood every time, Sol Dance is for you! The class is full of all ages, all levels, with a do-it-how-it-feels-good approach. I never leave without feeling happier afterwards. Sarina and community are all very welcoming. 9:00am is the perfect time if you can swing it - it brightens my whole day

  • Sarina Natkin has been my dance teacher for several years. She is both encouraging and uplifting. She has brought together an amazing group, and taught us the importance of mind and body working in tandem. Most importantly, we have SO much fun dancing!

Whatever you can comfortably move in. Many dance barefoot, but shoes are just fine too as long as they are clean and not your street shoes to keep our floor clean. Definitely not a fashion show class. Show up as who you are.

What Do I Wear?

If you can walk, smile, and have fun, you will be just fine! Learning anything new can be challenging, but you are encouraged to find a way to make any step work for you. Modifications are always available. This is about joy and movement, no Broadway experience necessary!!

What If I Can’t Dance?

As someone at higher risk for complications from COVID, please know I take the safety of our community seriously. We have multiple fans, both ceiling and floor, moving air through the spacious studio. We also have windows and doors open.

Full vaccination is required. Masks are optional.
